In this ocurse students will learn how to install and use Linux and Netweaver.

  • • Hardware and Linux kernel
  • • Install SuSE or RedHat
  • • Administration Tools
  • • Package management and kernel update
  • • Startup and shutdown
  • • Network configuration
  • • Boards, file systems, raw devices, and swap
  • • Manage users and groups
  • • Customization of Linux for SAP installation
  • • Installation of SAP Web Application Server 7.xx with MaxDB or Oracle
  • • Network file sytems: NFS and SAMBA
  • • Processes and monitoring tools
  • • JavaGUI

 

In this course, you'll learn the administrative basics of Linux. This will enable you to perform your daily operation tasks on Linux-based SAP systems. Administrative activities, maintenance and security mechanisms are explained in conjunction with an SAP NetWeaver System.

This course is intended for system manager, administrators and technical IT staff, who use SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA with various SAP solutions in a Linux environment (RedHat or SuSE). Participants will learn the necessary Linux knowledge focused and targeted for use with SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA.
