Overview

This course provides information and hands-on exercises for management of HPE SimpliVity. It also includes information and hands-on exercises for using HPE SimpliVity RapidDR software that simplifies and accelerates offsite DR through automation. The course covers a range of administration actions executed on HPE SimpliVity system with the SimpliVity VMware vSphere® and RapidDR user interface.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

 

This course is intended for infrastructureadministrators and system engineers whoneed to learn how to administer HPESimpliVity.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

 

Upon completion of this training, theparticipant will be able to:

 • Describe the various components that formthe HPE SimpliVity Federation 

• Distinguish between peer-managed andcentrally-managed SimpliVity Federations 

• Identify how VM data is stored across HPESimpliVity Clusters• Create datastores and perform differenttasks associated with SimpliVity datastores• Explain the various SimpliVity operationslike Clone or Move VM 

• Create manual and policy-based backupsand use them for restore

 • Configure external stores for secondarybackup 

• Perform basic support tasks on the HPESimpliVity Federation

• Use RapidDR to reduce service disruptionsby automating remote site recovery

 

 

COURSE PREREQUISITES:

HPE recommends that students attendtraining or attain experience in the followingareas before taking this class:

 • Networking technologies

 • VMware vSphere 6+ 

 • HPE ProLiant servers
